🍋 Camp Registration Now Open: Lemons to Lemonade Grief Camp 2025
📅 Posted: March 1, 2025
We’re excited to share that registration is now officially open for Lemons to Lemonade Camp 2025—a one-of-a-kind, peer-led grief camp designed by kids, for kids who have experienced the loss of a parent or loved one.
This isn’t just any camp. It’s run by high schoolers who have walked the same path—teen leaders who lost a parent themselves and know firsthand what grief feels like. That’s what makes this experience so powerful: it’s peer-to-peer, heart-to-heart.
At camp, kids find connection and comfort while building the strength to move forward. Through guided crafts honoring loved ones, journaling, games, and laughter, campers begin to understand that they are not alone—and that joy and grief can exist side by side.
What Campers Can Expect:
- 🐾 Visits from therapy animals
- 🐻 A Build-A-Bear experience
- 🎡 Carnival day fun
- 🎨 Creative crafts and memory activities
- 🍕 Pizza parties, water games, and so much more!
The week is designed to help grieving children build resilience, make lifelong friendships, and feel safe expressing their emotions in a caring, supportive space.
Thanks to generous volunteers—including licensed therapists from Hoag Hospital—and our incredible donors, the camp is completely free to attend.
🌟 “This camp changed everything. I didn’t think anyone else understood what I felt—until I came here.”
— Camper, age 10
Spots are limited, so we encourage families to sign up soon!
