We are so excited to share some amazing news—Lemons to Lemonade is now an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! This is such a huge milestone for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful for how far we’ve come.
Becoming a 501(c)(3) means so much to us because it opens the door to greater funding opportunities and partnerships. It also allows donors to make tax-deductible contributions, which will help us grow programs like our Grief Camps, the LemonAid App, and other resources for grieving kids. Most importantly, it means we can continue making a bigger impact on children and families who need us.
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our incredible community, mentors, and organizations like the Dragon Kim Foundation and St. Margaret’s Venture to Serve Program, who believed in us from the start.
Now that we’ve reached this milestone, we’re busy strategizing on which companies might want to invest in such an important cause. The truth is, Orange County has very little in terms of grief support for kids, and we’re determined to change that. If you know of a company that might be interested, drop us a line or, better yet, we’d love an introduction.
We are so grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. This milestone is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see how Lemons to Lemonade continues to grow and help kids turn life’s sour lemons into sweet lemonade.
